Annual Visit

We welcome this morning to St. Andrew's as preacher and celebrant our good friend the Rt. Rev. Henry W. Scriven, Assistant Bishop of our Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh. At the 11 a.m. service Bishop Scriven will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation to nine of our young people, Receive one new member from another Communion of the Christian family, and bless the Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows. He will also join me and all of us in welcoming four of our children as they receive Holy Communion for the first time--and will participate in the ceremonies promoting two Junior Acolytes to the Acolyte Corps and awarding Acolyte Crosses to two of our Acolytes who now begin their Senior year of service. A festive reception to welcome Bishop and Mrs. Scriven and to celebrate with our Confirmands will follow the service. A great day at St. Andrew's!
